X2 MAM Sensor

Radiation QA sensors

The RaySafe X2 MAM Sensor is the mammography sensor for the RaySafe X2 system. It measures kVp, dose, dose rate, half-value layer, exposure time and waveforms, and is orientation independent. RaySafe specifies beam-quality-independent dose and HVL measurement for the common mammographic anode/filter combinations, with or without the compression paddle and phantom, and a kVp range of 18 to 50 kVp; measurements above 40 kVp require an X2 R/F Sensor for active compensation.
