ENDOLIGHT LED 2.2

Endoscopic light sources

The Richard Wolf ENDOLIGHT LED 2.2 is an LED light source for endoscopy. Richard Wolf states that it uses 80% less power than xenon light sources and cools silently with a passive heat pipe; its LEDs are specified for a lifetime of up to 30,000 hours or more with constant light intensity. A multi-socket accepts light cables from different manufacturers, and a dialog function with the camera controller provides automatic brightness control and switching of the light source. A safe-start function protects against unintended light emission after a longer supply interruption, and the unit is compatible with core nova. Richard Wolf (Knittlingen, Germany) develops and manufactures endoscopic instruments and systems and describes minimally invasive surgery as its core competence for more than a hundred years.
