Steam autoclaves

MRC vertical autoclaves are the STE-V series of top-loading steam sterilizers with automatic water filling, for laboratories and medical units. MRC's specification sheet lists two models: the STE-V-60 with a 50-litre chamber (Ø315 × 668 mm, 220 V, 4.2 kW) and the STE-V-80 with an 80-litre chamber (Ø386 × 695 mm, 380 V, 4.5 kW). A microcomputer controller with touch keys and an LCD runs water filling, heating, sterilization, steam exhaust and drying automatically, with programmes for dressings, instruments, rubber and culture media and a keep-warm function. The sterilization temperature is 105–136 °C with a time range of 0–99 min; positive-pressure pulses remove cold air from the chamber, and rapid or slow steam exhaust prevents liquids from boiling over. A built-in water tank with steam and water circulation means no external water supply is needed. Safety devices include an over-temperature cut-off, a low-water alarm, a door interlock, an automatic safety valve and over-current and leakage protection. The model is confirmed in the quotation. MRC Laboratory Equipment (Israel) supplies laboratory instruments and sterilisation equipment.
